I don’t know about the weather where you are, but this week has been HOT! We went from having temps in the 40′s to temps in the 90′s in about a week’s time. I keep telling Jack that I feel like a turkey in the oven… doesn’t help that the belly button is starting to pop. I have a whole new appreciate for what turkeys go through at Thanksgiving! LOL!Â
Anyhoo! I tried a new technique last night- well, it’s new to me! Check out this link for directions if you have never tried Wet Paper Watercoloring. I’m not usually into techniques, mainly because they tend to require the purchase of more supplies and I’d rather spend my money on stamp sets or fabulous ribbon! LOL!  Â
I also tried a new color palette for me- Purely Pomegranate, Always Artichoke, and Sage Shadow. I LOVE this color combo!! You’re probably going to be seeing more of it in the future! I used Taylor’s sketch for the layout. I know it’s hard to see, but I stamped the image three times- once with the paper wet, once with the paper dry, and then a third time with my glue pad and dazzling diamonds. The twill ribbon is from My Mind’s Eye- I want more of this stuff!
I did a second card in a COMPLETELY different style! This one is for a family here that is getting ready to spend the summer in the States. I thought it would a fun “safe travels” card for them. I used Beate’s sketch for the layout. This card is pretty straight forward. All the supplies are by SU! except for the paper, which is by rob and bob studio.Â
Hope you are all having a great weekend!
