give me your {walls}

by Tina on August 28, 2008

I was browsing through the archives of How About Orange and came across this tutorial.  I loved how she put fabric on the wall, but since decent cotton fabric is hard to come by here I needed another solution.  I’ve debated over a ton of ideas for the wall behind baby Landon’s crib (well, pack n’ play for now)… everything from a wall of funky circles in browns and oranges to a monogram.  I really wanted something with cars, but all I had was a car stamp and a few paints.  It wasn’t looking so good… but then I thought about applying the same concept of the fabric with paper.  It was an “hallelujah” moment!

Here is the end result!  What do you all think?  Are you just as in love with it as I am?  Now, I added my very first video tutorial for you all to watch.  Go easy on me!  I’m SO new at this stuff!  But I wanted to show you all just how easy it was!

That turned out really cute. Very clever. You could do all kinds of fun things with that same idea. Loved your tutorial, and the music selection….{smiling widely}
Good job and thanks for sharing that with us.

How cute! You go!
I don’t know if you have one, but you could outline each car with a black sharpy to make them really “pop” off of the wall.

How adorable, what a great idea. And, oh my, how much work you did.

Love,
Amy

Very snazzy girlfriend! I’m the type that appreciates when people come up with creative ideas, because they always seem to elude me! It had been about a week last since I’ve checked people’s blogs because my folks were in town, so I’m just now catching up, but I love what you did in Hailey’s room! No wonder she was oohing and ahhing over you! Also, keep us posted on how baby Landon’s doing and how your placenta is holding up.

I absolutely loved it! I’m still in the process of decorating my baby’s room,and it’s car themed so I’m sure gonna make it myself. I was wondering what kind of paper did you use. Since we don’t have (here in Argentina) scrapbooking supplies, I was wondering if I could print some digital scrap papers on my printer.
Thanks, Cristina
