Standing as an icon for almost one hundred years, the red British phone booth is facing a world that is quickly losing it’s need for pay phones as cell phones change the way we communicate with one another…
I hope there will always be a place for them, though, because I just could not imagine what London would be without them…
What do you think? Should they stay or should they go? Should they be converted? How should they be used if they are no longer needed for making phone calls?

oh i love them of course!! and as a traditional girl i think they should be what they are, paid phone booths. we never know when we may need them. cell phones are amazing, but i find myself pretty often without any battery left. so we never know!
Definitely stay!
Ive always loved the red phone booths. If they went up for sale, I’d buy one even though I’d have nowhere to put it in my house, nor would it match anything I currently possess. But it’d be cool, so I don’t think I’d really care.
Two things London can’t exist without; black cabs and red phone booths.
Stay! No question. I want my kids to see a phone booth someday and ask me what it is.
Stay! They are such an icon of British life.
I couldn’t agree more with you girls!
Absolutely stay, and worst case scenario turn them into…I don’t know, a charging station for cell-phones?? Is that even possible?
How about a photo-booth? sort of a “step back in time” kind of theme??
They have TO STAY definitely!!!! Doesn’t matter if just for people photorequisit….
