It feels like that, doesn’t it? A new year, a fresh start… a new life, with fresh perspective. We get to learn how to {live} again… It is usually around this time of year when I get the itching to throw out my entire wardrobe and try something completely new or sell everything I own and decorate from the ground up. Of course, I cannot do either of those things but it is fun to daydream about little things like wardrobe changes and room makeovers, while still asking myself how I can be a better wife, mom, and friend this year. What about you? Are there things you would like to do/accomplish in 2013 whether big or small? Have you already broken any of your New Year’s Resolutions or are you well on your way to a new habit?
This beautiful collar necklace is definitely staying for 2013! It was a gift from the lovely Andreia, one of my dearest blogging friends!

i cleaned out my closet for several hours on sunday, because i was feeling the same way. and it made me feel so much better to take a step back and see a super organized closet filled with basics – that means i can now slooowly start buying some new ‘forever’ pieces.
I’m absolutely crazy about that necklace! So lovely!
Dear Tina, you look so elegant! I’m happy to know you like it!
I’m not the kind who makes New Year’s resolutions, but yes, a new year is always a new start, that’s always something to do better, something to learn.
About the wardrobe, well I want to make more clothes for myself and for my children too and I’ve already started so, may be I’m in the right direction so far
I haven’t made any resolutions as I never keep them, instead I’ve chosen one word to focus on for the year and my word is positive. I want myself and my business to make a positive contribution to the planet, I want to think positively, act positively and just move forward in life in a positive fashion!
@ale I think that is just what I need to do! Clean out and make room for some forever pieces!
@Abbey Thanks! I’m flipping out over it too!
@Andreia Well, if the necklace is a sign of your sewing then I am certain that anything you make will be beautiful. Unfortunately I do not have the same level of excellency and would likely look terrible if I attempted to sew my own clothing!
@Gabrielle I love that! Positive is a great word for 2013!
I agree…starting to re-decorate for the New Year and had a wonderful morning yesterday doing so!
@Dena You need to post some photos!
