creating more {storage}

I have had this wall of unfinished business waiting to be attending to since we moved in and I guess rather than finishing it, I decided to ditch the shelf on this wall altogether and opt for more clothing storage.  I’ve had this rack for months but it has been sitting in the basement.  I bought it because I was completely obsessed with it after seeing it here, here, here, and here, but I didn’t think I could squeeze it in anywhere upstairs.  Late last Friday night, when it was cold and snowy outside, I had the sudden idea of taking away the shelf and completely revamping this area.  I was so excited that I could hardly sleep that night!  I woke up early on Saturday and nearly leaped out of my bed with excitement… Do you get that excited about decorating? The really fun thing about it, is that I can change up the colors and in a few minutes time change up the look completely.  It feels a little like a mini art wall and as you can see, I’m already having fun playing with different possibilities.  I think I will add some more things… maybe boxes, art, or a mirror?  I’m not sure yet.  I’m just happy that I have more than 3 ft of hanging space for my clothes.  It was really getting tough to make that work for me!
Which color do you prefer?  The dark or the light?  To me, the dark goes better with the bed linens I am using right now, but the light is so romantic and sparkly!
