I have been rearranging the house… again, yes! We have almost lived here for a year and it is around this time that I realize that one space is not working at all and just start reworking the house. Do you do that, too? If you move one piece, then another has to fill in it’s place and then suddenly half the house is being shuffled about! This was my guy’s desktop before:
The newly shuffled version is a bit calmer and more masculine… no more lace lampshade for my man!
Now we have this super comfy corner with stacks of books and magazines waiting for me, but I need a blanket for it… because all the other ones are being heavily employed elsewhere! (Who would have thought an old house could stay so cold!) I am so ready to curl up here with a book and a cup of tea, but a blanket is necessary to ward off the draft from the windows.
Which gets to the question I have for you… Whichever one would you choose? (The pillows can definitely go somewhere else so don’t worry about coordinating with them unless you just really like them.) But which one would you choose? All of them are around the same price except #2, the Pia Wallen blanket which has been on my list forever but is almost three times the price of the others! I think a stack like of blankets this one would be amazing one day, but a girl has to start somewhere, right?

I love the light grey chevron in no. 4, but I’m loving light grey right now as a neutral. That shop is seriously AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS! Very very hygge. How did you ever find it?
I think one of the blankets in the stack in picture 4 would be lovely, for some odd reason number 3 looks like a towel to me! No idea why. I love the leather armchair, the huge amount of light coming into the room and of course the rearranged the desktop space looks fab.
@Belle Isn’t Klippan fantastic? I first spotted their blankets at Magasin (They are even on sale right now!) but their website offers way more options and their catalogs make me want to buy one of each!

It is cotton, though, so #4 would be much warmer!
I love the blankets stacked in photo #4. I think you need all three of them (love how they look stacked) but if I had to choose I would go with the top darker shade of grey one. They look nice and cozy. Happy shopping and decorating and comfy corner reading.
I’m voting for the light gray in #4 as well. Its design and weave looks ‘soft’ somehow next to all the angles of your reading corner. My second choice is #5 simply because I have an old b&w houndstooth one just like it from Crate & Barrel and it’s just so timeless. We used to have a pretty neutral living room and that blanket always seemed to add just enough pizazz. Now that we have more color it still works as it adds a bit of a grounding element.
Oh darn, #2 is so cool! But I was going to say #2 and #4, b/c 4 looks so cozy and soft…
It always takes me a long time too, to realize a space isn’t quite working – and then the shambles begins. Like now! I decided to redecorate the girls room for their 8th Bday, so everything but beds & dresser is out, lining the hall & Rick’s office. Oops… I advised him that finishing in a week would take a miracle, since I can’t work on it “uninterrupted.”
I love a cozy reading corner, like you’re about to have there!
I just looked at that Klippan website and it looks like you could take an afternoon and go to their factory outlet shop you lucky girl! I spied lots of cute trays in their shop photos, too!
Number 4 gets my vote – I adore chevron patterns plain and simple. Good luck making your final choice – be quick because that comfy chair is calling you xx

Personally, I like the look of #1, but in the end, I think it should be whatever is the warmest & softest.
#4! But get the grey and the charcoal/black. A good start to your stack!
I agree with Kim6 that warm and cozy are the top priorities but I like 3.
You have all been so helpful, but now I have been on the hunt for #4 and cannot find it in stock anywhere! What should I do now? I’ll keep hunting, but shopping for blankets has only made me want stacks and stacks of them!
One or Four. I love the design on one, but four’s blankets look fuzzier and softer.
Since #4 is no longer available, I’d go for #3. I really can’t get enough grey right now.
#1 if #2 cannot make its way into your house.
