I blame pinterest. There are so many great recipes and after about two minutes of scrolling through the main page, my mouth is watering and I have repinned more recipes than I could ever have time to try… which of course is irrelevant and will not deter me from continuing… but still, it is an interesting phenomenon and one that brought me to the recipe for these glazed donut muffins.
After living overseas for many years you get used to living without many of your creature comforts, but every now and then a craving hits and you find yourself making things like cheese its and thin mints. This week it was donuts, which my husband swears taste very similar to Krispy Kreme in muffin form!
What about you? Have you tried any new recipes lately? Anyone else fall into the pinterest craze?

I’ve made myself a pinterest “rule” – After certain amount of time, I *have* to make something, either food or DIY that I’ve pinned, before I can go on there again. Last week I made crockpot bbq chicken and it was SO good! A Pin Win. This week I’m collaging and making a crate bookcase for the girls room. The rule, it gets me moving! Happy Thursday Tina…
Those look delicious! I haven’t had a good donut in so long! Once in desperation, I tried the ones from 7-11. Never again! I will have to give this recipe a go sometime soon!
@Bethany You have way more restraint than me! I do check back to my pinterest when I need something, so I guess I’m cool with that.
@Karen Oh, dear! They shouldn’t even be allowed to call those awful things donuts! If the icing falls off in one big chunk… something is seriously wrong! LOL!
Pancake mini-muffins were a recent Pinterest find, and a HUGE hit. I made twenty-four minis (chocolate chip), and my little girls and neighbor polished off the bag while I was outside shoveling, and then begged for more.
