One of my absolute favorite parts of planning a birthday party for my kids is choosing a special outfit for them. Although the boys are super fun to shop for, it’s my girl who sends me into mommy bliss as I poke my head into countless boutiques and online shops. She has had everything from pink and frothy to denim capris and a floral top, but this year she wanted something princess like but not babyish. Of all the years we have shopped for a birthday outfit, this has by far been the most challenging, not because her request was so difficult, but because her size is so hard to find in the kinds of things she wanted to buy.
Our relentless searching has ended us here with this outfit, which is not exactly what she will be wearing but is very, very close. I cannot decide which I am more excited about- the sparkly overlay skirt (hers is a little different but by the same company) or the mini bubble necklace. They are both so pretty and sweet, but definitely not too babyish for my tween! Now, perhaps you are wondering what the runners up might be? Maybe tomorrow I can share those because, boy, were there ever a lot!
What do you think about this outfit, though? Does it meet her qualifications: princess, sparkly, pink, mint, gold, and not babyish?
one- Ruche Lace Top, two- J Crew Bubble Necklace , three- Sam Edelman Gold Glitter Shoes , four- Christina Rohde Skirt , five- Wheat Tulle skirt, six- J Crew Mini Edie Purse
