for {you}

I had the most amazing afternoon today.  I celebrated my Moroccan girlfriend’s birthday with her and her family.  It had been forever since I had seen them and I loved every minute with them.  You know those kind of people that just have sweet spirits- they just seem to make your day brighter and your world a happier place?  That’s the kind of people this sweet family is.  Of course I forgot my camera, but one of my friends took some pictures so I’ll have to post them later.  When I got home I attempted homemade tater tots.  I know, who would have thought you could make your own tater tots, right?  They were awesome!  I had tried them before and failed miserably and hadn’t attempted them again.  But desperate times call for desperate measures!  Sometimes an American girl just needs her tater tots with her hamburger!  LOL! I promise I’ll post pictures later with the recipe for those of you interested.  I’ll have to post that with the nutri grain bar recipe (which I had to make AGAIN because the kids *ahem* and I ate them all.)  Oh, and did I tell you that I made my own Cheese It’s?  I know, I’m a machine this week!  LOL!  I’ll post all those recipes, but for now it’s late and I’ve got another full day ahead of me tomorrow, so I better sign off.

PS What do you all think of the card?  I need constructive critisism.  I’ve never used my own image on a card before and I’m not sure if it looks too wonky.  Alright, I’m really going this time!  :-)

You must be missing the states if you made cheeze-its and earlier you made nutra grain bars. When were were in Switzerland I missed tacos. Though I could get the chip, meat, and make the salsa. I couldn’t find cheddar cheese. Crazy-huh. One would think with all the cheese that was availabe cheddar would be one of them. Nope. I tried making nachos with other cheese, but just did not taste the same. Now I am missing a donner-kebab though not swiss you can find them just about every where.

I think the self-made image is very imaginative. It’s a good “stretch” for you, keep going. “Wonky”? I think not.

We had tater tots yesterday too. But I bought them at Publix. I’ll bet yours were better! You reminded me of the surprise your mother experienced 35+ years ago when Aunt Mary was making mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving, and mom was wondering why they were peeling potatoes. She always thought mashed potatoes came from a box.

Not wonky at all, it’s simply lovely. Having fun with Illustrator? Took me a bit to figure out the pen tool, but now lovin’ it & still on a learning curve.

I don’t think it looks wonky, it looks wonderful and simplistic
