feed the {birds}

It’s more like feed the bird {fetish.}  I am still admittedly a little obsessed with birds.  I just placed my order over at Twopeasinabucket after winning with this card and I promise there will be butterflies and prints and other lovelies to share with you all when everything arrives. In the meantime, though, I hope you will humor me as I continue exploring the many ways to use birds in my projects.

More specifically, I have been working on several secret projects for an upcoming baby shower that I am helping throw for my girlfriend.  It will involve a fabulous color palette and likely birds and nesting kinds of things.  But I don’t want to spoil all the fun by showing everything here before… though I do have a philosophy of “why wait until later for good things when good things can be enjoyed now?”

So, what do you think?  My girlfriend said she is using pink and purple in the baby’s nursery, so I knew I wanted to include those colors, but then it needed something. Slate (basic) gray plus Kiwi Kiss… oh, yes!  Now we are on to something!  I think I want to decorate my kitchen with this fabulous color palette!  I am headed to the medina to shop for fabric and other lovelies for the shower.  I’ll will let you  all know what I find!
