The sun has set in our mysterious foreign land. It was a busy day filled with a last day of school party that was utter chaos, assembling bird houses for the upcoming shower, and catching up on all the housework so I can do lots of baking tomorrow! Oh, yes, I also made a card for a special someone’s birthday.

I feel for this little alien… some days I feel like an alien too. I told Jack as we entered the chaos at the school party that I was so nervous because we do not know the cultural norms in these situations. I think we managed well, but there was about a forty five minute period when none of the parents could figure out where their four year olds were! I was happy to have collected the phone number of Parker’s best friend, Saad, because he has been begging me for weeks to invite him over.
So, here I am late at night trying to unwind a bit. The scent of fresh lavender is close by (a hint for what is to come for the shower!) and I have a bronze Eiffel Tower with a bird cupcake decoration sticking out of the top keeping my sense of humor in check! (Hailey turned the bird houses into a Parisian village, which are circling the all-wonderful Eiffel Tower… a picture would be great at this point. Maybe tomorrow!)
I’m off to bed in the hopes of getting a few minutes of real sleep before waking up to another day of last minute medina shopping. Oh! I forgot to tell you that I scored, yes, SCORED, a beautiful silver antique trey that looks like it has lace around the scalloped edges. I found it in a shop just up the street from my house. The last time I tried to bargain with the shop owner he wouldn’t budge on his price of 60 USD, but this time I went away with a bigger and better trey for only 20USD! I know! I cannot wait to show you all! I nearly floated out of the shop with a silly grin plastered on my face!
Okay, I’m really going this time! Be sure to leave a comment HERE for a chance to win some vintage goodies! (That button on my card is among the items in the stash I’m giving away!)
Card details: Made for CPS; I know it’s hard to see in the photo, but I scored the lines on my card to reflect the lines on the sketch
Cardstock by SU!; DP and alien stamp by Crate Paper

oooh, they are so lovely!!!
actually I can see the lines you scored. And I absolutely love the idea of the alien. I think that should be an “expat” card if you decide to market a line
We are almost at the end of the swim season for the league…phew…
Simple and cute. Those aliens are adorable… if you can call aliens adorable. I guess you can since they are not real, right?
