thank you {so} much

sunshinepage-1-of-1

I consider myself to be a girl of many words.  I am rarely left speechless, but I have spent the better half of today trying to write this post because as I try to adequately express my gratitude for all the kindness and generosity that you all have extended to us and our School Project… well, words just do not seem to suffice.  I sat methodically going through everyone’s orders getting them ready to ship and after two hours of packaging I just sat staring at the mound of envelopes and it brought tears to my eyes.  Even now I feel tears springing up. I cannot thank you all enough!  My heart is so full of affection for each one of you that I might burst!

We still have many things planned for the next couple months, including an Art Exhibition here in Morocco with two other artists to raise more funds.  The Etsy shop will continue to be added to as well.  But the last couple days can be described as nothing short of thrilling!  Did you see our feature on Decor8 and on Real Simple??  I am still in shock!  Someone pinch me!

But do you want to know what the best part is?  There go the stinkin’ tears again!  We get to help some very special children and give them hope for a better future.  Not only that, but we get to add joy to their present days as well.  I’m ready to run out and buy books and supplies today!  I am like a kid on Christmas!  There is truly nothing better than giving gifts to others and I heartily thank you for joining us in this merry adventure!

If you would like to know more about the why’s and how’s of our project, Jack and I are both posting regularly on Traveling Tribe (and there are prizes being given away over there too!)  Don’t forget that you can leave a comment on this post and keep your Traveler’s Inspiration Projects coming in!  You have until Sunday, August 30th to leave your comments and projects.

We’ve decided that our school project really needs a name!  It needs to express using art as a means of investing in the children of Morocco and giving hope.  Any suggestions?  We’ve got another prize to give away if you can help us name our project!  Leave your names in the comments on this post and we will announce the winner on Monday!

Monday is going to be fun, fun, fun!

M4M – More for Morocco ?

I think it would be catchy to use french/arabic words as all or part of the name. Sadly I don’t know any =(

Your story fills my heart, too. I’m an educator through and through, so schools having what they need is high on my list of priorities also. How wonderful that you’ve been so supported and encouraged!

As far as an idea for your project goes, here’s what came to my mind:
he{art} for morocco

Oh Tina, so glad the project is going so great!!! I’m waiting for us to be paid this month so I can buy something from your Etsy shop, everything is adorable and for such a good cause!! Having lived in Melilla I know how moroccan people struggle for resources, specially in the northern part of the country.
I love the name Janelle suggested. I have thought “Traveling AID”, but I thgink her’s is so much better!
Big hugs and have a lovely weekend.
