I am in happiness overdrive right now with my dear friends here. Did I mention that one of them is a Cordon Bleu chef? Oh, and she is cooking with us and for us all week? It makes me just want to jump up and down like a giddy school girl! Last night she made us a simple but mouthwatering pasta dish that I went to bed dreaming about… leftovers were sitting just a few feet away in my fridge all night!
We enjoyed some really nice time together this morning and now we’ve got lots to do to get ready for our big week! We heard that a special delegate from the government is coming to see our project in action so they can learn about what we are doing. Hopefully we will inspire them as well as the kids to celebrate creativity!
We’ve got tons of supplies- everything from play dough to crayons to scissors to cameras and so much more to play with. I’ll be sure to update with photos as soon as I can!
I need to run and get some trail mix ingredients for a special art and food lesson we are doing, but before I run off I wanted to share these quick cards I made.
A little funny story behind them- My Mom bought me this adorable stamp set two years ago and I have just not been able to make a card from it. I don’t know what my problem is… seriously, I have made tons of cards and not liked any of them! What is up?? It was like stamper’s block or something! Do you all ever have that problem? You have materials sitting in front of you that you absolutely LOVE but cannot seem to make them work?
Well, my girlfriend, Katie, was here the other day and I was telling her about my stamper’s block. She took it as a challenge and made the most adorable cards. (why didn’t I take a picture???) So then I just picked up the little petal and off I went. I guess sometimes we just need a little inspiration, right?
So, now I’m curious to know from you all. Perhaps you have a certain product or stamp set that you cannot seem to make work? Leave me a link for it and I will see if I can make something that might inspire you!

What a lovely set of cards!
Yes I have that exact same thing happen! I am so excited about something I have just bought and can’t make anything happen with it. What a great idea – have a girls stamping night and bring out the stamp/paper/embellishment you are struggling with and see what they can do with it! I think I have my next night planned!
Wow, a friend that is a Cordon Bleu chef? uhh, hello, I’d be jumping all day too if my friend cooked for me, hehe! Awesome! About crafter’s block, yeah, I hear ya. I am in that phase right now. Nothing really works. But I especially get that way with certain colors-like plum or pink. Can’t seem to wanna incorporate them in my usual color scheme. I just tackled using grey on my cards, luved it! You know Grey is the new black this season, hehe. So yeah, crafter’s block, happens to me more often than I’d like

Very cute! Yes, I have the same problem! I have an idea, then I get the stuff and then the idea just goes away or it doesn’t seem as good anymore! What is up with that?!
You’re cards are adorable!
And no, you are not alone! I also have stamper’s block at the moment, which is a shame because I just bought some lovely new things yesterday!
Such cute cards, Tina! I started smiling as soon as I saw them — that’s how cute they are. And I really know what you mean. I have things I’ve bought, brought ‘em home, and there they sit. Sigh.
The cards are great Tina! I actually have that issue with paper…I get all excited about different patterned paper then when it arrives I go…hmmmm what to do with it now!
Lovely cards, Tina!!!!
Ohh…I have stamper’s block all the time! Especially when I bought new stuff like paper, stamps..etc. I have tons of inspiration before buying but when I brought them home and wanted to create…my inspiration dissappear into thin air
Your cards are amazing Tina!!! But I totally know what you mean, my hard to do sets are actually Cheap Talk and Good friend, i LOVE them!!! LOVE THEM!!! but the very few cards that I’ve made have been…well not what I’d hoped. They have birds in them how hard can it be but like a lot of people it is!!!!
I’m so excited too about your school project and those amazing photo’s!! How precious that when you described that the dough was like their mummy’s bread dough that then they “got it” and had super fun!! The joy’s of simplicity!!
Smiles and hugs Sharnee :0)
P.S I made my All in the family Christmas card inspired by YOU!! Check it out, i hope you like it! :0)
What a cute and creative set of cards. I am constantly buying sets I absolutely love…then have difficulty using them once I get them home. A sudden burst of inspiration is always a good thing!
