Just {wondering}

justsayinghello

I hope you are all having a great weekend!  The weather has been so nice here that it is hard to stay inside!  We had the nicest lunch with our friends on their shady patio.  She made us authentic Chinese food, which I must say was wonderful!  It pays to have friends from all over the world!

I spent the afternoon scrapping a bit so I have tons to share with you over the next few days.  I’m dying to know if any of you have started your Christmas shopping yet?  Anyone going to brave the Black Friday sales?  We got an advertisement for a PRE-Black Friday sale.  Honestly, I think if we keep this up we’ll be having a pre, PRE-Black Friday Sale.  And we might as well start our Christmas sales with Back-to-School!

Here in Morocco (and in Europe as well) there are sales twice a year- once in January and again in August.  If you miss those two weeks out of the year then you pay full price!  Pretty crazy, huh?

When we lived in the States I always enjoyed meeting up with my siblings for a little Black Friday shopping and a Chick-fil-a chicken biscuit.  It was a fun tradition that I miss!

So what about you?  Do you have any pre-Christmas traditions?  Just wondering!

I wish I did! I need some more girlfriends IRL to go out and spend- I mean hang out with! Lol! I’m usually the frazzled lady in the check out line scrambling to finish the day before Christmas Eve… :-( Each year I hope to do better! We’ll see…

Lovely card, Tina!! As far as traditions uhm, nope!! Unfortunately we never kept up with them. And every year since my husband and I’ve been married we’ve been on a mission trip during the holidays. I am contemplating on sending gift though. So shopping is definitely on my list I’m not so sure I’ll go on black Friday though ;)

Sure do miss those Black Friday deals! This year is the first year while overseas that we’ve actually gotten it together early enough to do some online shopping and have it sent here in time for Christmas (my inlaws are combining it all into one box and sending it our way as I type). Now as for gifts for friends and extended family, that’s another story… dh and I are such procrastinators!

Just caught up on reading your blog…loved seeing the progress you all are making with the school project!

As for shopping-I prefer to go early, with no crowds, or on the internet for deals. I am mostly done this year-whew!

Yes, I have my shopping done, but the cards are on old hoping my sons hair will grow just a little after a butch job at the hairdresser. Anyway, pre-holiday traditions will start this next week with bring out the Christmas tree. The wreath is up and the Pointsettas are bought. I couldn’t help it. The cabinet is stocked with peppermint hot coco. Happy Shopping!

No, I do not have my shopping done. No, I do not do shopping the day after Thanksgiving! It has gotten to be too much. Our Christmas this year will be more traditional with a lot of hand made gifts from mom and nana. Last year I made my grandson Mickey Mouse invitations and thank you notes for one Christmas present. He has a January birthday. This year I still have to put on the thinking cap..
