Thank you all so much for your well wishes. Thankfully I am feeling much better and have actually re-entered the land of the living, but not until I got very well reacquainted with the red sofa we sold my parents when we moved to Morocco. I am happy to report that it is just as cushy and red as ever and I hope to spend very little time with it in the future! I bet most of you can identify with that feeling, right?
I know it’s not Christmas, but as you can see from my Christmas card today… well, I’m a bit in the Christmas spirit! As we finish our shopping for our crate we have purchased some of the kids’ birthday and Christmas presents in advance. Now before you think we are a bit crazy, let me assure you that it is with very good reason! Toys in Denmark are outrageously expensive… at least three, if not four times the price of the States! So, we’ve been watching the ads and when we see their favorites go on sale we snag a few things to give later. I’ve also stopped into several consignment sales and gotten some really great gentle used toys that I know they will love as well. But either way, we have warned our kids that future gift giving is going to be coming in very small packages.
Well, anyways! I made this card for Kristina’s latest challenge to make a single layer card. I’m not sure it’s much of a challenge for me because that seems to be my happy place lately! What about you? What kinds of cards do you find yourselves making these days?

Glad you are recovering… I’m sure it’s hard to keep a busy bee down. Good thinking on the buying – my swedish friend always fills a suitcase full of things when she visits. Toiletries, tylenol – things that are so pricy over there.
So happy to hear you’re back! I love your no-layer card!! I just created a no-layer card for an Elzybells challenge today. It is pretty crazy fun stuff just stamping directly on the card base.
Hugs, Carly
I love this card!! What stamp set is that? I find myself making cards with too many layers! I’m loving the simplicity of the whole one-layer card!!
Tina

I love your single layer card it’s also my comfort zone. TFS!!
I’m glad you’re feeling better! It’s no fun being sick, especially when you know you have so much to do.
I have to ask – what inks did you use on this card (especially the yellow and brown)? I’ve been looking for that exact shade of yellow!
Wow, very nice! Which set is this? You worked it really well. Love the color combo too. And you go! for being in the Christmas spirit.
Cheers!
