creating with {fabric}

bliss

The challenge was stamping + fabric and it finally gave me the push I needed to finish a project that has been sitting in the sidelines for weeks.  One of the things I absolutely love about the Danes is how environmentally conscious they are.  Much like many other European countries, they too have adopted the policy in grocery stores that customers must pay for their plastic bags.  I don’t know about you, but that gives me a much higher motivation to show up on shopping day with my own bags!  But I do not want just any old bag, and as much as so many American stores have made it possible for us all to advertise on their behalf… well, I want something a little more personal… something a little more me.

So, I ordered these awesome recycled cotton fair wage bags.  I searched high and low for inks that I liked on fabric and discovered that I loved the milky softness that VersaMagic inks provide.

My first bag features one of my latest stamp obsessions- this set by Schlosser Designs.  The second bag is another favorite with it’s big graphic font!  I am thinking about adding these designs to our Etsy shop.  Would anyone be interested?

Yes! I use various reusable bags, whatever I have been given :) – but I totally agree with wanting some that feel more “me.” Cute “bliss” one.

I keep using my trader joe’s bags, WILLING them to wear out so I can justify upgrading to something cuter, but alas, they endure =) Love yours though!

Oh this is super duper cute! And J would even use one — I’ve made some before but I put flowers on them, ha ha ha! LOVE the “tea and jam” — you are brilliant! :)
