Every day I pass this gentle lady making “Milwee” and “Harsha” but I didn’t even notice her until a few days ago. I saw her in the morning going to school before 9am and then again at 7pm while we were going for a stroll downtown. She had a kind look on her face, though I know she had been working all day.
She politely nodded when I asked if I could take her picture as my mouth began to water over the delicious milwee. Milwee still tops my list of favorite foods in Morocco. What’s not to love? Warm doughy texture, slathered in butter and honey. Yum!

Mmmm, that looks good!
Yummy! I can almost smell that. Mom is busy packing for the trip. She is already over 100 pounds and hasn’t even packed her clothes. She has been packing and repacking for days now. She is so excited. Only three more days!
Looks YUMMY! Like a great big pancake!
That looks fantastic…is it much like a pancake here in the states?
It’s a bit like a pancake and a crepe put together, but not fluffy or doughy… does that make sense?? LOL!
