It is funny to me, the oddity of the path that sometimes takes us to new discoveries. My daughter got braces this morning, a fact that had her near tears and feeling pretty low. I promised her a pint of any ice cream she wanted and she asked if she could have a new toothbrush, too. Umm. Yes. I’m pretty sure she could have asked for anything and gotten it, but a toothbrush it is! So, I happened upon these super cool designer toothbrushes and was fascinated by the fact that the Scandinavian toothbrush company, Jordan, had partnered with real designers to create something so functional and yet so cute!
And that very strange string of events is what led me to Carolyn Quartermaine, an artist, decorator, stylist, and fabric designer, who has had her work featured in magazines such as Elle Decor and House & Home. I just adore the pale pinks and the bright, cheery bursts of color in her work. While I love sleek and modern design, I also adore a little femininity, too!
What about you? Are these images too girly for you or do you love them as much as I do?
PS My daughter admitted that it wasn’t so bad to get braces and the ice cream & cute toothbrush helped A LOT.
