embellish magazine: {chevron}

This was one of my favorite shots from the photos we took of our Traveling Girl when she was getting ready for her dance recital.  I love the expression on her face… that look of assurance and satisfaction.  I decided to use the photo for the latest Embellish Magazine challenge, which includes chevrons… one of my favorite patterns right now!
You may recognize the inspiration photo, which happens to be a little slice of my studio.  (The adorable chevron organizer comes from Baffin Bags and they come in many different colors.  I also own an adorable matching business card holder, but Karen has everything from these organizers and card holders to key rings and passport wallets!  The gorgeous bird print is one of my all time favorite purchases from Mai Autumn.)

I hope this chevron challenge will inspire you to create!  Be sure to pop by the Embellish Magazine blog for more inspiration and to add your own creation!  Have a happy weekend!

Tina I have not commented on your blog for a long time. I have to let you know I try not to miss any of your posts and I am in love with the photography. I am very happy you guys are doing so great in your new post. We are still in Pakistan and enjoying our time here.

I am also writing to ask you… what “ink” do you use to put dots on your layouts, cards etc. I will be posting my version on my blog tomorrow. I was just really curious about the product you use.

Lots of hugs and I wish you guys the best. Keep having fun.

@ Karla Hi Karla! It’s so nice to hear from you and thank you so, so much!!! I am so glad to hear that you are doing well! My favorite inks are Studio Calico: http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/shop/studio-calico/ October Afternoon: http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/shop/october-afternoon/ and Tattered Angels: http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/shop/tattered-angels/ Rather than spraying with them in the traditional way, I give the bottle a good shake, take the cap off, and fling the ink on the stick at my page in light flicks. Hope that helps! Hugs!!

Beautiful layout and photo of your daughter Tina! I love the way you used the chevron pattern as a frame. Lovely touch of lace also.
