embellish magazine: {tape}

The weekend is upon us and I am feeling overwhelmingly happy about this week.  Really, to me it felt like a banner week here on the blog, which is really amazing because this week was this little corner’s fifth blog anniversary.  Five years!  Maybe that is why I am feeling particularly scared and thrilled about the potential new things on the horizon!  Traveling Girl’s birthday party was featured on A Subtle Revelry and, as you know, next week we will have our five minutes of fame!  This card has just the advice I need… Keep Calm and Skip along!  Before I go skipping into the weekend, though, I want to share the inspiration for this card… It probably will not surprise you that this week’s Embellish Magazine challenge came from my personal stash of Washi Tape.  I love the stuff!  For my card, I pleated the tape and sewed a bit across it, but it is going to be so much fun seeing how everyone uses it on their paper craft projects!  You can go to the Embellish Magazine Blog for all the details!  Happy Weekend, everyone!

Girl…..I am iiiin LOVE with your card! Is that a stamp or did you create that on the computer? The font is amazing….as is your washi tape. Lucky you to get to use the actual inspiration tape. Lucky me, I now want to buy some. Hee.

@Charlene Yes, well I wasn’t sure if that was cheating? This is the first time I have ever done it, so I hope no one will hold it against me! :-) And thanks so much! The font and the butterfly are rub ons from the Dear Lizzy collection by American Crafts! I’ve been hoarding them for a while and thought they were just perfect for this challenge!

WHOA!! We really have WAY to MUcH in COMMON!! Cruising around your blog and I discover CARDS. If you visit my blog you will discover what I am talking about. We have been in the states 2 years now and you will notice that my blog and my passion for Cards has been neglected. I find a million different ways to express my creativity, however, blogging about such has been a challenge. Love your take on the Keep Calm quote and thank you for the inspiration.
