{handful} of solitude

Solitude is a beautiful thing.   Really.  I need it and I crave it.  The only thing I like to add to solitude is a handful of crafty items and, oh yes, silence.  No music.  No children asking for more of this or that.  No husband demanding to be fed.  Just me.  In silent, solitude.

feb27-2

Now, before you get the wrong impression of me, let me assure you that I love my husband and children.  More than life itself.  They are my life and I love being with them.  But sometimes we just need a few minutes alone.

feb27-1

Moms everywhere are nodding their heads.  You all know what I mean.  Solitude makes us better Moms.  We get a little recharge and off we go…

Cards: First card made for Kristina’s color challenge #43.  DP by October Afternoon and all other supplies by SU!  Second and third card made for 2sketches4you. Plastic flowers by American Crafts, bunny by Hero Arts and all other supplies by SU!

What a fun card! I am going to have to do some stamping using white on brown paper now – you have inspired me! The colors in the patterned paper you selected are perfect!

Ten thousand AMENS to your praise of solitude!! I just wrote a blog about this…well, mostly I was complaining out of frustration because I never get the house all to myself and I totally agree that silence makes all the difference….Love your work! Thanks for sharing!!

All your cards are wonderful! I really like your style. The SS kit you used on your last card is one of my absolute favorites.

Your cards are lovely!! I have to admit I was nodding my head. My daughter is a chatterbox and honestly didn’t stop talking from the minute she woke up to the minute she went to bed today!! (she was off school with a bug). Like you though I adore her, and the rest of my little family, but sometimes solitude is all you wish for!!

Yes, Mums everywhere understand the craving for Solitude amongst the daily craziness and constant hum of children & hubby’s needs. I love that you wrote it for others {okay me} to feel that I’m not the only one. Love, love, love my daily blessings & also appreciate the quiet moments.
Your cards: beautiful. Take Care.

These cards are absolutely adorable..the colors are amazing and well, I’m in love with that bunny.
I am happy to read that someone feels the same way I do about “solitude” and the need for it to recharge. I say this to people all the time.
