happy {birthday}, traveling girl

in Celebrations, family

I woke up this morning thinking about my girl when she turned three.  I remember her adorable messy hair as I sang “Happy Birthday” to her to wake her up that day and the sleepy smile I received in return.  She wore a purple sweatshirt and a sparkly tiara that morning and with her insanely cute and raspy voice sang “Happy Birthday” to herself all day.  My little three year old has grown up a lot since that day, but this morning as I sang to her to wake her up, I realized that while it is a teensy bit sad how fast the time has passed, there has been so much to celebrate in between.  We’ve had twelve whole years with this beautiful girl and my heart is bursting with love and pride for all that she has become.  She has made our world a better place and every day brings renewed happiness with her and a sense of excited anticipation for a beautiful future.

And now the part that she is most excited about… the beginning of days of celebration!  The invitations are out, the oven is fired up, flower brooches are being created, and the party decorations are in their final stages.  Today she took cupcakes to her class (she made them herself!) and tomorrow will be pampering for her photo shoot/party on Saturday.

Happy Birthday, Traveling Girl!  May all your wishes and dreams come true and may your life be full of never ending love and happiness! xo
