It’s time… {almost}

in family

butrflycard With only four days left in the States, we are feeling very excited (and a little nervous too!) about our upcoming move.  I remember when we moved to Morocco… there was excitement mixed with dread because I knew that living in Morocco was going to push my every limit.  And it did!  But the amazing thing about it was that after accomplishing so much in three years… learning everything from the Arabic language to how to make my own pizza dough and fig jam… well, I guess I do not feel so nervous about Denmark.

It always feels a bit surreal… this time just before such a dramatic change.  We know that life is about to be turned upside down and inside out and yet we are at peace.  We are ready to set out once again into the big, wide world and see just how these next few years will change not only our world view, but also the simple things like how we get to work and the clothes we wear.

I feel incredibly honored and delighted to have this opportunity to explore the world and share in yet another culture.  I do not remember a day of my life when I have not either been dreaming of living overseas or occupying a place in another country… so, in some odd sense it feels like we are going home… even though I know next to nothing about Denmark, it’s people, or even where we will live.

I miss my bed.  The kids miss their toys.  Our bags are mostly packed and the tickets are waiting to be used.  It’s time… almost.  Just four more days until we board our airplane and begin the next adventure!  I wonder, what would you do if you were in my place?  Where would you go?  Who would you see?  What might be the last thing you would want to eat?

I discovered your blog a little while ago and will LOVE reading about all of your adventures in Denmark. My fiance, 2 year old son and I studied abroad in Karlstad, Sweden for 6 months last year- and I absolutely love scandinavia. I have been to Copenhagen a few times and I’m sure you and your family will love it as much as I did. Goodluck with your move!

My husband says: “Morocco”, and I say, “Paris” ~ of course, we both will just be happy to jet off and try on the likings of any new foreign (to us) territory! You and your traveling tribe are our heroes ~ we cannot wait to see how you blossom in Denmark!

If I were moving away from the states, I’d have to have a big ol’ down south meal… one that fills you so much that it puts you to sleep! 🙂 I’m so excited for your move, and I can’t even begin to imagine what you are going through right now. 🙂 I know your mind must be racing, but I hope you can manage to sit back and enjoy the ride, girly! Hugs!

LOVE the card! So cheerful and elegant.

Hmmmm….. if I were to have the opportunity to relocate my life, I’m really not sure where I’d go. I know where I’d like to travel, but *living* is a whole different beast. I’ll have to ponder your question 🙂

I admire your courage so much! While I love to travel to move is another story. My husband came home last night and said do yo want to move to Abu Dabi ? Sp. My answer was a big fat no at least not with children.

Can’t wait to experience Denmark through you! I’ll be praying for safe travels and well-behaved kiddos for you!

It is almost time for your next move…Denmark – what a beautiful place I would love to go to! After a brief (slightly longer than brief) hiatus from the Blog world – (you will be able to read all about that in the coming weeks )..I can not believe that the time has arrived for the next chapter in the TravellingTribe to begin!! Good Luck with everything and I can not wait to see what this new adventure brings!

Wow — only four more days, probably three by the time you read this. Crazy how time goes by. I’m excited for you and your family and can’t wait to hear about your new adventures. I think it’d be fun to live in another country for awhile, but there is absolutely no way that my husband would do it. He really likes staying in his comfort zone — burgers, fries, and the English language. Love the butterfly card, too, by the way.

Oh, Tina, how exciting to be so close! My prayers are with you & your lovely family as you take on this new adventure in a far away land, filled with wonderful new things to learn, see and do! (I would head to Fira on Santorini Island, but before I left the wonderful Tasmanian shores, I would enjoy the biggest seafood buffet I could find!) God’s blesssings for each step of the way!

Yea!! It’s getting closer! How exciting and in a few days we’ll just be stone throw away 🙂 I hope to meet up with you sometimes after!! Super cute card too!

Lovely card! Safe travels:)

Your card is wonderful 🙂 So crisp and fresh 🙂

We have travelled quite a bit too and I too love it. It does not matter where we are in the world because the house, apartment, dorm or hotel will be our home. We stick to the same routines – nap times, bed times & bath times so basically our family life does not change – just the surroundings. We are a multi-national family so travel is on our blood – we love it!
Good luck with your trip – we can’t wait to hear your adventures
