A Little Bohemian Romance

I don’t know about you, but as soon as the New Year arrives and all of the Christmas decorations start coming down, I suddenly have an urge to reorganize and redecorate my house.  I have been thinking a lot lately about what my personal style is and how that translates into my home, my clothing, and even my photography.  While I don’t feel it necessary to decide once and for all what one’s style will be, it certainly is a useful tool if you are at the store trying to decide which pillow or skirt to buy!

I doubt it will come as a surprise to any of you to hear me say that my style definitely leans towards the elegant and modern, with an underlying romantic feeling, all of which I found in this latest Bohemian Romance collection from H&M Home.  Without being too sugary sweet, it feels romantic but simple and sophisticated, too.  The fact that all of the pieces are so inexpensive makes it a great choice for a mini almost-spring update!  I might also add in a few pieces from the Graphic Elegance Collection to add a little structure to the overall feel (and so my boys don’t feel too overwhelmed by all the femininity.)

If bohemian romance is not quite your thing, though, their new Modern Vintage and Color Pop Collections are equally fantastic!

I know exactly what you mean. I took down all the Christmas decoration last week, but some little wintery objects were lying here and there. Yesterday I suddenly felt I had to remove those too but I didn’t have the time to replace them with any flowers or any other objects. Today home is very neat, a sort of a blank canvas. And for once I hardly have any idea of what I want to put out right now. It might stay like this for a while ;-) xxi.

Yes, a blank canvas is always fun to work with. Sometimes leaving it for a bit also gives you room to daydream about the possibilities! :-)
