My husband is an avid coffee drinker, which he blames on his days as a manager for Starbucks many years ago.  I feel like it is so important for our home to feel like it is for our entire family, so this little coffee bar area is a way of giving him a little luxury by creating a special place with everything he needs for his perfect cup of coffee.  We loaded the cabinet with a variety of mugs, coffees, a grinder, and more which makes his daily cup of Joe feel like an extra special treat.

What about you?  Are you a coffee or tea drinker?  Do you have a favorite spot to store all of your coffee related items?

You might remember that his coffee bar used to be on a different wall, but this cabinet was lower so it is a little more user friendly.  And even though we have lots of expensive mugs, his favorites right now are the DIY coffee mugs I created for him.

My husband also loves to visit cafes in Copenhagen and when he travels.  Det Vide Hus is one of his favorites in Copenhagen, but he loves Fuglen in Oslo and Bakeshop in Prague.

coffee is an important part of our day – as much for the caffeine as for the ritual . . . the moka pot, the frothy milk, and always in my favourite old (albeit a little chipped) willow pattern tea cup which is the perfect size.
