Knowing where to go when it rains in Copenhagen is a very important thing if you are visiting because Denmark gets a lot of rain and you are quite likely to need a place to retreat from the weather.  Locals have quite a few favorites, but one that always seems to top the list is Dag H, a cafe and restaurant named after the street it is located on.  Located in the pristine neighborhood of Østerbro, Dag H is quite sleek and sexy cafe, but more importantly serves a stunning brunch that may make you wish it would rain every day.  But don’t worry.  If you luck out and visit Dag H on a sunny day, the seating outside is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy the sunshine and people watch.

The atmosphere is warm and a little posh, but not too stuffy.  Order a cappuccino or an earl grey tea for each, but the brunch is definitely enough for two!

What are your favorite ways to escape inclement weather when you travel?  Have you ever found a gem when ducking out of the rain?

I’m heading to Dag H next time I’m in the city regardless of whether it looks like it will rain. Beautiful photos!

Do you know “Gustavs”, it just around the corner… almost… At Classensgade, the facade is dark red.
It’s my Mothers Cousin – Gustav’s who owns it, and it has a great atmosphere as well as Dag H. The food is like french bistro, and it taste soooo good! One of the things i like the most, about the place, is that almost all of the groceries are organic or biodynamic, also the wines!
