Rainy days Make Lazy Days

Last night we woke up to the sweetest sound in the world- a gentle thunderstorm.  Oh, how I have missed the sound of rumbling thunder and the pitter patter of rain.  It’s been six months of dry and hot weather so I cannot help but stand at the window and just watch the magical transformation of life as the rain brings forth vibrant colors that had once been so dry and dull.

And how better to spend a day than staying inside and doing a whole lot of nothing.  Well, nothing but laundry and a couple cards.  Oh, and the house is filled with the warm fragrance of Yiyia’s fresh pot of Greek Lemonata Soup and homemade croutons made from yesterday’s chabata.

Take a peek at the dining room table and you will find it still buried with stamp supplies, but at least I have a few things to show you.  Great minds must think alike because I made this “merci” card before seeing Beate’s weekend challenge.  I made the other card in similar colors because I was just so pleased with the color palate and layout.

Well, I’m off to fill my bowl with soup and to do a little more storm watching…

I love rainstorms (from a window LOL) too. Very calming sounds. Will have to try that soup some time, looks comforting & warm.
Too funny about the card! That must have been the fastest up load ever.
Blessings to the family.

Hi Tina, glad to see you back creating new cards. I love what you did with Pocket Silhouettes. I just used it yesterday too. That’s amazing that you created a card for Beate’s sketch before seeing the sketch!
I just read your soup recipe. I sounds so easy (besides the part about tempering the eggs). I love lemon. Thanks for sharing!

Both of your Cards look really great, but the first one is my favourite! Soft colors and not crammed, you`ve done very well!
