Ranunculus For Mom :: Dark and Light

I have always been a fan of ranunculus, with their delicate blooms and dainty layers that look almost like a couture ball gown.  They also have a bit of a wild flower feel to them, and a bouquet of them feels as though one has just plucked them from a field and needs to do nothing more than to drop them into a vase and marvel at their beauty.

I grabbed a bunch at the florist a few days ago because I just thought that they were so beautiful.  I played around with them, placing them in my favorite Iittala vase and then photographing them on a dark background and then on my white floor.  Which one do you prefer?  I think I like the white the best.  No, the black.  Hmmm… Maybe it’s the white.  {smiles}

Now, I am off to enjoy a date with my littlest.  I can’t wait to spend the day with him.  Being a mom really is the best thing in the world!

Happy, Happy Mother’s Day to all you lovely moms!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend celebrating!  xx
