Christmas is almost here, and a special occasion like this is a great excuse to dress up. Even if you are not throwing a huge party or family get-together, celebrating with style only makes the day feel more noteworthy. If you have the funds to splash out and buy a new Christmas dress then go for it, but if you would rather splurge on gifts and save for yourself, incorporating things you already own can save you a lot of hassle by shopping your own closet and and it is much faster and cheaper, too.
A gorgeous pair of inexpensive earrings can add just the right amount of shimmer to your outfit and a stack of bracelets, which you have worn countless times, suddenly feel extra special when paired with a skirt that has been hanging around your closet (perhaps like mine which I snagged at H&M last spring for 50 kroner, or about $9). Sometimes even a belt you haven’t thought about in a long time is just the thing to bring a special outfit together.
Most of us have really great things lingering in the depths of our closets, just waiting to be styled into a fabulous holiday outfit, so don’t be afraid to dig in and treat yourself!
