Hello and a Happy New Week to you! I hope you all had a wonderful and warm weekend? We had some of the warmest weather we’ve ever experienced in Denmark this weekend, which gave us the perfect excuse to escape to the beach, listen to jazz music in The King’s Garden, and take long bike rides (captured by our 6 year old who couldn’t believe mom wanted him to film, though I think Lady Gaga may have drawn more attention!).
However you spent your weekend, summer time is the perfect time to get your home a little refresh because the light seems to give us more creative energy and the weather is warm enough to get outside and paint furniture if we need to. I recently ordered a copy of Windsor Smith Homefront: Design for Modern Living and have pretty much been in inspiration overload ever since. Windsor Smith has a way of creating spaces that feel timeless, warm, and inviting while also modern and, at times, a little edgy. I have read every single word written in this book and have found each and every image to bring a sense of wonder and amazement. Even my kids noticed the horse walking through a couple of the interiors! You will find everything from country homes to city penthouses in this book, but each one is tied together with a feeling of past, present, and future. It’s a total treat and I absolutely recommend grabbing your own copy!
