Teen Desk Space

Hello, and a happy new week to you!  Did you all have a nice weekend?  We all got a little too much sun out at the soccer field, planted some new flowers in the garden, and enjoyed an amazing evening with some dear friends.  It was just what we needed and now I feel very excited about jumping into a new week and seeing where it takes us!

I thought today we could get started with my daughter’s teen desk area because it is so full of bright colors and feels very springy.  Teens can be one of the hardest clients to design for because they are in such a massive transitional period in their lives, but my daughter and I had a lot of fun pulling together a space that she really enjoys.  It is a little bit girly and a little grown up but full of photos and objects that make her happy, which is what I think makes a space a success.

You might remember the adorable wall stickers from Made of Sundays, which I shared before, but I will include the rest of the links below in case something catches your eye…

Oh yes….. I can see a Minecraft icon on her desktop…. My son is also addicted to it! And I just loved how put together everything looks! Really Nice!

Oh, yes! It’s mostly my boys that love it. They play with their cousins in the US! 🙂

I love the inspiration wall behind her desk with the always perfect washi tape! Thank you for sharing!

Tina April 28, 2014 at 8:49 pm

Thanks you! The washi tape is always near by in our home! 🙂

This looks so pretty!!! I could see me having my desk set up like this myself 🙂
How do you get a teenager to keep it so tidy and neat?

Tina April 29, 2014 at 10:13 am

Thanks! She takes after her mom and loves to be very organized and neat, though at times it is covered in whatever project she is working on. 🙂

Where did you find that cute chair?!

Tina August 27, 2014 at 6:03 am

I found it next to the trash bin. 🙂 I think it originally came from Ikea, though.

Do you know the name of the desk? I have been trying to find a desk just like that but unfortunately I can’t find one. I love the look of it and all the drawers are a great way to organize school stuff. Do you think it’s possible that the base is separate from the drawers or is it all one piece?

Madison November 14, 2014 at 3:02 pm

The desk is a ALEX/LIMMON combination from Ikea

Beautiful place. What is the length of the table top? 100 cm?

Tina January 5, 2016 at 4:47 pm

Thank you! They are 125cm. 🙂
