the shop is {open} + world hunger relief

Christmas is coming and the eve of the holiday excitement is upon us, but rather than laying in bed having visions of sugar plums dancing in my head, I am kept awake by the continual reality that as much as I already feel a rising panic over how I will have enough money to buy my children loads of gifts… well, the likelihood of them going to bed hungry is thankfully very small (unless they didn’t eat their vegetables!)

I have thought a lot about whether I would reopen my Etsy shop and help pay for Christmas gifts this year, but ultimately I believe that now is the time to teach my kids about giving rather than receiving.  And they have agreed that they would rather I give all the money away than have extra gifts under the tree this year.  {They make me so proud!}
So, I say all that, because I have opened my Etsy shop again and will be filling it with more things in the next couple days.  I will give 100% of every purchase to World Vision Hunger Relief. These necklaces are made with a nice waxed cord and the wood bead is hand painted.  I decided on the cross because first of all I love the symbol of hope and mercy… so many generations and relief organizations have used the symbol… but also because I just love the simple and bold design!   So, please consider making a purchase and diminishing world hunger.  Maybe you can get a little Christmas shopping done too… help hungry children and do some early Christmas shopping?  It doesn’t get much better than that!  Thank you so much in advance for your support!  It always means so much to me and I am continually encouraged by your kindness and generosity!
