I hope all of you moms had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend, full of pampering and loads of kisses. My husband was in Belgium, but was SO sweet to send me a beautiful bouquet of peonies, my favorite flower, and the kids made me artwork, which is always my favorite gift. I am feeling incredibly loved and appreciated and ever so grateful for the wonderful family that fills my life with an endless supply of happiness and joy.
And since we are talking about feeling loved and appreciated, I wanted to give a little shout out to all of you who have made Traveling Mama a possibility for me. A few days ago we passed our seven year mark and I am sitting here just shaking my head in near disbelief. How is it possible that seven years has gone by?
It has been an incredible journey and I am completely overwhelmed with the realization of how much has changed in our lives and how much we have learned through the process of blogging. When I first started Traveling Mama, we were new to Morocco and just simply trying to keep in touch with our family and friends back in the US. Neither of us knew how to use our first DSLR camera that my parents had given us with the one stipulation being that we had to send constant photos back of the grandkids.
Oh my gosh, you guys. I am seriously about to cry.
We have learned so much, grown to be photographers, and me a stylist, and had so many opportunities open up for us that we could never have imagined when we first began. And while that is fantastic and life altering, the best part of all of this has been meeting so many wonderful people along the way. We feel blessed beyond words to have reached out to so many corners of the globe and found so many happy, smiling faces looking back.
I have spent the last seven years showing up almost daily with something to say, and now in this moment I am nearly speechless.
Thank you so, so much to each and every one of you who has come and supported us here on Traveling Mama. I don’t know if I would ever have had the courage to believe so deeply in myself if I had been alone, but having you all here with me has brought me courage and put a fire in my belly to dream bigger, reach further, and never, ever stop believing.
So, in return, I wish the very same for each one of you. May you dream bigger, reach further, and find the courage to believe in your own possibilities!
Thank you again for all your love and support and may there be many more years to celebrate! xoxo
