Travel Photo Storage

Good morning and Happy New Week to you.  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend?  We had the most amazing time traveling over to Jutland which is mainland Denmark.  I cannot wait to share more of our discoveries with you, but today I want to chat about travel photo storage.

I used to be an avid scrapbooker, which is something many of you who have followed along with us for more than a year know very well.  I participated on design teams and everything, but lately I just have not had the time to sit down and scrapbook the way I used to.  In many ways, Traveling Mama has become a digital scrapbook for me, but recently I have been missing having hard copies of my photos around.  I think sometimes we just need to hold our memories in our hands and not just in our screens.

To solve my little dilemma, I printed up some of our travel photos and added them to a clear box from Nomess, which is a super cool Danish company that produces all kinds of great acrylic storage boxes.  I really liked the clear box because the photos can be seen through it and it encourages my visitors and myself to open the box and take a longer peek.  You could easily print up your travel photos in regular sizes, but for now I added some of my Instagram photos that I printed with Printic.

I hope this quick, little travel photo storage idea will inspire you to print your travel photos and enjoy them every day because I know in this digital day and age it can be quite easy to forget to surround yourself with your photos.

What about you?  Do you print your travel photos or are you guilty of not printing them as well?  This idea works great with family photos as well!

PS.  If you are outside Denmark and do not have access to Nomess’ clear acrylic storage boxes, The Container Store also carries a really nice line that looks to be about the same.  I like the boxes with hinges so the lid never goes missing!

I agree that it’s always so lovely having these memories displayed somehow rather than just getting stuck in a folder on the computer, never to be seen again.
Great idea! Have a great week.

I love digital but we miss out on having a photo to touch and show. We’re always looking for ways to make them tangible again.

This is a good idea…I, too, love feeling my memories!
