Valentines Day is just a few days away and this year I could not help but jump in and create a sweet little budget friendly Valentine’s Party at home that I hope will inspire you to celebrate with the ones you love. Plus I will show you how to make the cutest DIY Arrow Cupcake Toppers that my kids just absolutely loved!

I love throwing a party in our home because it is sweet and intimate and tends to be a bit more casual and relaxed plus it is so affordable that you will have plenty of money to buy everyone a really fab box of chocolates for their Valentine’s gift!

With an informal floral arrangement of red and pink flowers, the table immediately feels extra special so that your guests won’t even notice that you are using your own dishes and flatware.  Our DIY Wine Glasses filled with sparkling lemonade keeps the party kid friendly and the price of a Valentines Party at home very affordable.  Entertain young guests with the task of cutting out paper hearts for the backs of the chairs, though the arrow topped cupcakes may pose a big distraction. Can’t blame them there!

To make these simple DIY Arrow Cupcake Toppers you will only need four supplies:

toothpicks, crepe paper, heart stickers, and all purpose glue

Start by taking a small piece of crepe paper and rolling it tightly.  My piece is about 2″ x 4″.

Next trim a small piece, about 3/4″ wide, that will become the feathers.

Cut small notches into the crepe paper, being careful not to cut all the way through to the end.

Fan out the crepe paper to create a little fringed edge on one side.

Add a small amount of glue to the end of a toothpick and slide the crepe paper feathers on.

Slide a raspberry on to the toothpick.  (I love how they look like little hearts!)

Now stick two heart stickers together, wedging the end of the toothpick in between.

Place on your iced cupcakes and enjoy!

At first, I wasn’t sure where you were going when rolling up the streamers. End product, so so cute! Now I’m in the mood for a cupcake!
