Victoria Jungfrau Hotel in Interlaken, Switzerland:: a hotel that is a destination…

If the sight of the setting sun glowing behind the Victoria Jungfrau Hotel is not enough to tempt you, then a trip inside may just having you booking your next stay at this gorgeous and luxurious five star hotel in Interlaken, Switzerland.

Even as you come near, the fragrance of roses hangs happily in the air while classical piano music can be heard playing softly against the low murmur of evening diners and the clink of crystal glasses and fine china.

Just inside, the entrance is well appointed and grand yet not stuffy or uncomfortable with a friendly staff waiting to treat you with the highest of hospitable service as they usher you up to your lovely and elegant room.

interlaken-switzerland-july7-photos-edits-8 What really makes the Victoria Jungfrau Hotel such a special place is it’s view of the Junfrau Massif.  Imagine breakfast on the balcony, breathing in the clean and crisp air, while gazing out at such a stunning view… Mmm… Divine.

We enjoyed strolling through the hallways, appreciating all the little details (while politely pretending to ignore the German couple in their bathrobes on their way to a spa treatment.)  I love staying at hotels that feel like a destination in and of themselves.  What a treat to feel so pampered while traveling that you have to force yourself to leave!

What about you?  Do you like to splurge on your hotel when you travel?

How beautiful! it reminds me very much of a stunning hotel we once stayed at in Budapest (without the mountain views of course!). Thank you for the tip!

Jealous! This hotel was way beyond our buget, but it is beautiful!

Was this with or without the kids? 🙂

Love your blog. I discovered your family and subsequently your blog through your HGTV appearance and have checked in intermittently since then. It’s been a while since I traveled outside the U.S. In my younger days I would hop on a plane somewhere anytime I got the chance, but with a family and responsibilities now it seems too daunting at times, but every time I see your sight I want to head back to Europe and have my children experience the culture, architecture and lifestyle. I think one of these days soon we will need to. Your family is an inspiration to those of us who long to live overseas (however briefly). You all have great style too!

@simplystylishmom We had some friends that helped watch the kids, but next time we are going to look into their family packages!

@Chris That is so nice! Thank you! Sounds like you need to book a trip somewhere with those kiddos! 🙂 Easier said than done sometimes, but maybe you could try somewhere you have been before so you will know what to expect?
