Visiting Marbella Spain

Marbella, Spain is a magical little town, especially in Casco Antiguo, or the old town.  It is not the kind of place one rushes through, but rather a rambling destination where strolling is expected along with constant picture taking.  It has a sense of preserved time as though nothing has changed and nothing ever will.

We have a little rhythm, an expected path that we never veer from because if something is not broken, then why fix it?  We recommend starting at the top of the hill, just outside the border where the modern buildings slip into the background and the white edifices draw one without a glance behind.  Wind your way through the streets and no matter what time of year you visit, there will almost always be sunshine glistening on the window sills filled with green and color (or my favorite, the dog lounging on the terrace, people watching).

If you accidentally leave the Casco Antiguo, just go with it because just beyond you will find the sea and the sky that stretch as far as the eye can see.  It is gloriously Spain, quintessentially perfect in every way…

Here is just a little from our morning visiting Marbella Spain…

Seriously, Does this place even exist! Way too beautiful and perfect. Jealous! I am sure it was a refreshing change from the cold winters of Denmark. When do you guys arrive back in the states.

We’ll be back in the US from mid-July until late December. We will miss Copenhagen but it will be nice to see family and friends.

I just discovered your blog and I will follow you because we have many things in common! I am Spanish and go to Marbella in the summers and also very often to Copenhagen to work so I am really interested in everything that you will say in your blog

I just stumbled upon your blog and you can’t imagine what a big smile appeared in my face when I saw these pictures! I grew up in Marbella, and although I have always thought the Casco Antiguo was the most charming part of the city and definitely my favorite one, you made it look even more dreamy in your pictures! I hope you had such a lovely time in there! You have a very beautiful blog. 🙂
