Where to Stay In Amsterdam: The {Blogger} Mansion

I can hardly believe that Friday is already here.  After a few exciting and inspiring days in Amsterdam, I am still in a state of euphoria.  Since I was speaking at the Meet the Blogger Amsterdam conference, the ladies planning the event invited me to stay with them.  At first I was totally nervous about staying with people I had never met but in the end it was so hard to say good bye!  If you have ever wondered where to stay in Amsterdam then I have found the place for you!  The girls found this place through Air BNB and called it “The Blogger Mansion” because it had three lovely bedrooms spread over three floors, which was big enough for five Dutch girls and one American.  {smiles}  I told my roommate that I don’t usually hop in the bed with someone on the first night and she smiled, but I may have made her feel slightly less comfortable about sleeping with the crazy American!

The home was located just a few steps from Browersgracht Canal, which some say is the prettiest and most charming Canal in all of Amsterdam.  It was only a ten minute walk to The Anne Frank Museum (which sadly I did not have time to see) and The Nine Streets, a super cool shopping district. Here is a little peek at the beautiful and well situated “Blogger Mansion”:

I will share more with you next week on my experience of traveling alone for the first time, but I just want to give a little shout out to the ladies that planned the Meet The Blogger event because they truly amazed me.  They worked so hard to create a wonderful event for over 140 bloggers, but then made it look so easy and natural.  I was also thrilled beyond words to hang out with so many fellow bloggers whose talents and kindness never ceased to astound me.  Wow.  Really.  I was very near tears when it was time to go because I just wanted to stay longer, chat more, and know further details about all these super cool bloggers who constantly give of themselves to create beauty and interest for the world to enjoy.

I have a stack of cards about a foot high and I cannot wait to spend time this weekend  in front of my computer with a warm cup of tea as I dig further into everyone’s blogs.  (I will, of course, report back with my favorites and be pinning like crazy!)

I wish you all a very happy weekend.  Let me send you off with a few more favorite discoveries from this week:

Has anyone created a book from Artifact Uprising?  They are so beautiful and I am dying to make one of my own!

Not only is this Subway Cake cute, it is a great way to use your fall apples!

Have you seen where Victoria from SF Girl by Bay stayed in Amsterdam?  Another gorgeous choice!

The latest issue of Covet Garden has a bit of a masculine feel this time that I really love!

This is a great article on How to Apply Blush Like a Pro on Glitter Guide

I adore this photo of Mom and Daughter.  Kind of makes my heart hurt but in a good way.

Happy weekend!

Hi Tina. I’ll be travelling to Amsterdam sometime in April with a group of friends and the place you stayed in looks like the perfect spot! Is it possible for you to send me the link to the ad or a contact of the owner?
